Kyler's TV Debut!

On Friday, July 6th, Kyler was on the morning show Good Things Utah.  Someone in our neighbor was invited to do a segment on the show about strengthening children's imagination.  He invited Kyler and other kids in the neighborhood to build a rocket with him and join him on the show.  They also made other amazing things for the TV segment.  Kyler had a lot of fun working on the rocket and his alien helmet.  We had a fun time inside the TV studio, too!  Nicea, the host, and others working at ABC4 were really nice to the kids.  Kyler had a lot of fun!   Click here for the video!

A Tale of Two Casts

On April 8, 2012 (Easter Sunday!), Addie broke her arm.  After an Easter lunch and an Easter egg hunt at Grandma's and Papa's house, she was playing on the deck and fell.  Mike and I rushed her to the emergency department and she had broken both bones in her forearm just above her wrist.  We were lucky that it didn't affect her growth plates and didn't require surgery.  Addie was brave and did great.  The doctors, nurses, and techs were so nice to her.  Later she said, "That was kinda fun!"  A few days later, after the swelling had gone down, she got her first cast- a pink glittery one!  Then, four weeks later she got a short arm cast.  It's purple and glittery!  If all goes well, she'll get her cast off next week, just in time for summer fun!  Addie has been so good and the cast hasn't slowed her down one bit.  One time she even said, "I'm used to my cast!"

Hello, Fall

It's a good thing the colors of Fall are so beautiful and make great pictures because it is REALLY hard for me to say goodbye to summer. I took this picture 3 years ago on a beautiful fall day. It's one of my favorite pictures. I used sei's October sketch challenge to create it, along with sei's great Homestead line.

Sometimes I struggle with titles, but I really like how this one turned out.

Those faces are so sweet!

Crazy Hair Day

Crazy Hair Day for Red Ribbon Week at school. Addie reminds me of a Who from Who-ville.
